Weight Loss Journey #1: Learning to Eat Healthier

I have been SERIOUSLY on a weight loss journey since the beginning of March.  It has been tough but I'm doing better and the weight is coming off, slowly but surely.  To motivate myself I chanting these mantras in my head (sometimes out loud), "I'm not going to do anything to undo the hard work that I have done to lose this weight" and "Live in the now and not the past or the future, the NOW". 

So I have tried to make healthier food choices today and I feel good about them.  I also got the motivation to start back blogging, not about natural hair, but my weight loss journey and lifestyle change...yay me! 

Basically, I will try to post a pics of my meals throughout the day and weekly or biweekly loses in weight.  Try is the big word!  Anyway, here goes...

Meal #1: McDonald's Fruit & Yogurt Parfait (leftover from the night before)

Meal #2: Vanilla Yogurt with raisin granola (lowfat multigrain) and fresh raspberries

Meal #3: McDonald's McChicken Sandwich

Meal #4: Spinach Feta Chicken Flatbread

Meal #5: Grilled Chicken & Sausage Gumbo

Meal #6: Vanilla ice cream cup with mini chocolate chip cookies
